The Colorado Springs Black Leadership Forum (CSBLF) is changing the fabric of our community!

The BLF is a dynamic organization that brings black community leaders together. BLF members are better informed and more willing to look beyond immediate agendas. There is no other organization like it that recognizes black influencers in the community, opens lines of communication and provides an active means for collaboration on community projects. The first three years have successfully brought together people from different sectors and has fostered understanding and support around a diversity of community issues.

The Black Leadership Forum is responsive to our communities growing population and our diverse political atmosphere that calls out for collaboration, civility and understanding. The BLF builds relationships by bringing together leaders and influencers who are in positions to affect change. Its is through these relationship that potentially divisive issues that polarize our community can be effectively addressed.

The Black Leadership Forum brings focus and clarity to local issues and supports open systems for issue resolution. The BLF has created new collaborative ways of working together. Since 1999, the BLF has launched initiatives to develop new networks between ordinary citizens and community decision makers.

The BLF maintains a database of over 230 African-American leaders in the Colorado Springs community. Over 45 different organizations have been represented in BLF activities.
